I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2018 with my Bachelor's in Social Work. In 2020, I obtained my Master's in Education with a focus on Elementary Education from UTM as well. 

I have been present at McKenzie Elementary in multiple roles. I began with the position of Afterschool Care Coordinator at the Milan Y's McKenzie site. Then, I started substitute teaching for McKenzie Elementary School for almost two years. I accepted the position of 1st grade teacher in 2021, making this my first year as an official educator! :)

Hello all! My name is Rachel Edlin, and I am a 1st grade teacher here at McKenzie Elementary School. August 2021 marked my first year as a teacher, and I am so blessed that I began my professional journey right in my hometown.

I was born to my wonderful parents, Chris and Cathy Edlin, and was raised in McKenzie, Tennessee. I attended and graduated with my Bachelor's and Master's from the University of Tennessee at Martin (Go Skyhawks!) in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

I have two cats (Pooter and Bernie) and one dog (Penny) that I love so dearly. I enjoy being around my friends and family, teaching kids, finding good music, and playing video games. :)
